2011 Holiday Craft Fair To Aid Haiti
The annual Holiday Craft Fair to benefit Medical Aid to Haiti (MATH) is Saturday, November 12, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 13, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Church of St. Peter Claver, 47 Pleasant Street, West Hartford, CT. This unique shopping opportunity, benefiting the invaluable work of MATH, presents a marketplace of more than fifty fine artisans whose handcrafted goods include: pottery, metalwork, woodwork, jewelry, paper art, folk art, photography, paintings, clothing, candles, soaps, weaving, quilting, knit items, vintage creations, hand bags, felted wool clothing & art, gourmet foods and more! A featured artist is Connecticut’s own Karen Rossi whose whimsical metal sculpture is Internationally renowned and collected.
Musical performances by acoustic guitarist Glenn Roth, the Irish trio Full Gael, and local youth musicians will enliven each day. Relax and enjoy a fine wine tasting by Wine Cellars of Farmington, professional chair-massage, full café and bake sale, and a teacup auction of great stuff donated by each artisan.
